Well, it’s that special time of year again, when I (and many others) unleash a barrage of daily posting for the month of November. This special day conveniently coincides with another day one — it’s the first day of the Christmas season, or, pre-Christmas season, really.
Shaun and I have an ongoing, lazy debate on this, but I believe that the Christmas (pre)season begins on November 1st, and I’ve never been able to crystalize my position until this year. This is why: I am not waiting until after Thanksgiving to start shopping for presents, because I hate crowds and waiting in line. I am also going to start drinking peppermint mochas as soon as Starbucks will serve them to me. Overpriced Christmas espresso drink + leisurely shopping = heaven. And you can’t do that in December, my friends. If Christmas tunes are in the air, that’s okay, too.
So, I’m celebrating Day One with delicious BBQ Pork from Shaun’s Crock Pot based loosely on this recipe, right after I get my run in. And, The Office. The fun continues tomorrow!

Just so long as you don’t start holding pre-game tailgating parties for Christmas, I guess it’s OK.
