I hurt my car today.
I was driving to the park to go for a run, and the road I was on is really narrow, and I caught my front passenger side wheel on a the edge of a concrete curb-y thing. The tire blew and was loud, and it was kind of scary. Obviously the fact that it happened at all means that I could have been paying closer attention, so I’m feeling kind of bad about that, but no one was hurt and only my car was damaged. It could have been a lot worse.
Initially, I didn’t feel I could get a donut on, because the road has no shoulder, so I called a tow truck immediately. A guy came out from his house (I think) and thought we could do it so we started to. The tow truck guy showed up and noticed that my axle was bent, so it turned out I wouldn’t be driving it anywhere after all.
Tomorrow I have to get the repairs going and get a rental car. I can’t wait to get my sweet Chevy Aveo. Luckily, I have excellent insurance, and the guy who took my claim was wonderful and made me feel at lot better. Thanks, Allstate.

I did pretty much the exact same thing a couple years ago; clipped a wheel on the little island thingy at a gas station, popped the tire, bent the rim and broke a tie rod.
It wasn’t fun.

I have a 2005 Aveo, & it’s my little sweetheart. I never thought I’d willingly buy a Chevy, but its sheer cuteness coupled with the great gas mileage & mp3 cd player pulled me in.

Yeah, President Palmer is pretty great with car insurance.
